En 1972, un inventaire des espèces de lombrics a été réalisé par Marcel Bouché sur plus de 1400 sites répartis en France métropolitaine. Le projet de sciences participatives #vers2022 a comme ambition de retourner sur le plus grand nombre de sites d’échantillonnage afin d’avoir une image de l’évolution de la répartition de la diversité des espèces lombriciennes 50 ans après l’état des lieux initial produit par M. Bouché.
